Okay, what's the difference between a crossover published by DC of Batman and a character who you've heard of but never read and your buddy's fanfic?
I mean, I'm no Batman fanboy, but even I'm noticing in the transition between issue 1 & 2 that Bats seems to be getting his ass handed to him rather easily. If I were Betaing this (and that's a far fetched hypothetical, lemme tell ya) I'd suggest he dial back on Gary Stu a bit. "Ohh, he's so clever and ruthless and has a polearm".
I presume the psychological torture and manipulation is part of Grendel's MO. He's an interesting villain, but I'm not sure how much fun it would be to read an ongoing about him.
