New one's up, and I haven't looked at all the previous ones, but the motion capture suit for Dr. Manhattan is interesting.

There's a couple scenes that I don't recognize (were those Russians?), but overall I'm still cautiously optimistic they can make a good movie out of Watchmen.

I was thinking, but the invasion of Afghanistan is just something that happens on newspaper front pages in the source.

I'm still catching up on the comic series. I know, I know, it's a classic series I should have read ages ago...

I did read ElfQuest, though. When someobody FINALLY going to make THAT into a movie, already?

Haven't they said pretty much every month that EQ is going to be a movie? Then something goes wrong?

I blame Richard Pini. He's got shifty eyes.

Yeah, most of what goes wrong appears to be Wendy refusing to give even an inch of artistic control to other writers and artists. Maybe one day someone will try to do it live action a la LOTR special effects. Then she can't be picky about how the characters are drawn. *chuckle*
