Projects
So I thought it might be helpful to list the writing projects I currently have underway. This includes ideas that I've done only mental work on. I have no idea how many there are at the time I'm writing this, so I'm preparing to be a little surprised. Here goes!
Finished* - though not really, just finished with the first rough copy

The Magic Touch - 2nd NaNo, brilliant story of a medical sorcerer and his chipper, somewhat flighty sentinel(bodyguard); first of (at least) a trilogy, though very stand-alone thus far, heavily anime-inspired
Windchaser - 1zt NaNo, story of the continent of Kijir and the Great War between the nations of Crest and Adelorne; first novel appearance of Drake Snowe, and will eventually link up with The Last Campaign; first in a two-part series
Bitter Medicine - 3rd NaNo, sequel to The Magic Touch

The Shadow and the Cross(tentative title) - epic fantasy started in high school, story of the cursed vagrant Sigmund Castille and the knight-cadets of Mersault/Aenyria
Lionheart - fantasy, story of the middle-aged adventurer Samuel Thanos and the pact he makes with a dying lion-type beast
The Guardian(no title yet) - epic-scale sci-fi/fantasy started in high school, story of Guardian Nova
Legacy of War(Gundam Wing) - fanfiction, sci-fi, takes place after the final events of Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz; story of the Preventer agent White Wolf and his sister - Kai
Seireitei: Another Story(Bleach) - fanfiction, story of an alternate-universe Gotei 13(Kai, Nova)
The Dragoons(Legend of Dragoon) - fanfiction, fantasy, story of alternate-universe Spirit Dragoons(Kai)
Ira Dei(Xenogears) - fanfiction, sci-fi, 1000+ years after the end of Xenogears; story of Shevite military cadet Rias Alero and the gear Ragnarok
The Swordsman(no title yet, Sailor Moon) - fanfiction, story of the astral knight Nova; original appearance of Nova
The Elder Daemons(Sailor Moon) - fanfiction, continuation of story started in The Swordsman
Chronicles of Reyes(working title) - high fantasy, novelization of events from the Reyes campaign setting
Zodiac Knights(working title, Final Fantasy Tactics) - fanfiction, fantasy, story of events following the end of Final Fantasy Tactics
Final Fantasy: Cadets(tentative title, Final Fantasy) - sci-fi/fantasy, story of cadets at a military academy with a Final Fantasy flavor(Kai?)
Wow. That's no small list, and I think I even forgot a few things. Interesting XD.
I'm also surprised to see how many stories I've used Kai and/or Nova in. As my two earliest original characters, I've tended to use them for mental/writing exercises for some time, but I've never really taken stock of how often that's been the case. Though they do usually change considerably between stories, with Kai at least sharing only a name with his other incarnations.
So, yeah, again, interesting to think about. I'll have to do this sort of thing more often.
