Bomb scare and Committee
Yesterday (Wednesday) while we were at lunch the House was evacuated. Apparently there was a "suspicious package" and they brought in the bomb squad to check it out. This has a long story associated with it, but after starting this I decided I really need sleep instead (I got 1 hr last night) so I'm not going to tell you. If you really want to know just ask and I'll tell it. Everything turned out just fine but, yes they did have credible authority to do what they did and Im glad the did. Except I wish it wasn't during lunch when we already outside not doing work.
Next I wish to not tell you about Transportation committee today which was 2.5 hrs long and we didn't even hear 2 of the bills we were supposed to. we spent over an hour on one bill. I knew this was coming but it was still really really boring. Of course the bill that went fairly fast compared to the others was mine. I started planning out my proposal for the Interdisciplinary Studies major application. I think I might change my major slightly, but I don't know yet. It was really boring. Kinda interesting cuz it was government in action but slightly boring. It didn't help that I only slept 1 hr last night so I was mostly trying to keep from yawning every 5 mins and falling asleep every 15.
We had our first COW- Committee of the Whole- today. It was not nearly as exciting as we thought it would be. It was actually really boring and more of a formality than anything else which was a little disappointing I gotta be honest.
