So tomorrow night is battle of the bands (you'd all better come for To The End). Q didn't show up to practice yesterday, so we got absolutely nothing done. Well, we installed the air conditioner into the window, and it sliced my hand open in 22 places at once. It was good. Then we went to Jimmy's which was good, not even sarcastically. Overall, a very unproductive practice, considering no practicing whatsoever ensued. I doubt TTE will win the battle of the bands, just because we're a hardcore band. The only exception would be if whoever is judging is extremely fair. Somone who looks for hooks and structure in the music, and talent, energy and coordination as a band, instead of the best of the most listener-friendly genre. In case you've missed my previous journal entries or are seeing this on a friends list of somebody's, here's all the information you need:
What: Battle of the Bands
Where: Joseph N. Hermann Youth Center, North Andover, MA
When: TOMORROW NIGHT, May 14th, 2004 at 7:20 PM
Who:
Quinn (ex-Postwardream)
Surgency (needs no introduction)
Better Than Candles (ex-Told in Photographs)
Kimbo/Pickul (acoustic covers, apparently)
To The EndHarvard Shootout (ex-Suburban Disaster)
Why: Because proms were last weekend so there's no excuse not to be able to come. It's not in Bedford, NH, it's not at the Sad Cafe, it's nowhere remotely inaccessible. It's right in the middle of town, so GO.
