So to all of you who were excited to see me in No Exit (all of you), unfortunately it's not happening. The composer was way too late getting the score finished, and there was no way we could learn it, rehearse it, and sink our teeth into it in three and a half weeks. At least, not in addition to nailing Heart of a Dog, which I think we just might do. Everybody's sounding really good, and I think the director's going to do an awesome job. She's a lot of fun to work with. In fact, everybody is. I still feel like we're rehearsing too much though, especially since this shit is so ball-busting to sing. Perhaps the work we do this week will put us in a position to take a night off the next two weeks. We'll see.
Providence last weekend was frigging great. Rode all over the town with Dille, whom I miss terribly. The Guerilla Gardeners kicked some kickball ass, myself included. I got to eat and then work for a few hours at the Garden Grille, which rocked. Saw The Divorced at AS220 and did a little Port representin'. Spent some quality time with my sis and ate at the new Nick's for the first time. Ran into so many people in such a short period of time it blew my mind. Then capped it off with dinner at Scoot's and a movie with my folks. A seriously good time was had by all, but I totally can't hang like I used to...
I just gotta say: Thank you Clay Buchholz. Nice game, kid.
