3. Selected Poems (Goethe: The Collected Works, Volume 1) by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
This was an incredible collection of poetry, quite possibly the best poetry I've ever read. Of course, I am anything but an expert in poetry and well over half of them I did not fully understand but that just makes it all the more exciting when I do come to understand the reality behind a poem. It also made me wish I knew German so I could read the poem in its native language, because a translation will always take away some of the original.
