Wow, I really appreciate your ideas.

Personally I don't do dancing with guys that involves more PT than hands, (some Isreali folk dances do what's called the "shoulder hold", that's okay in my book too.) unless it is with my brothers. I've done a little, tiny bit of swing with my bro and it was awesome.

Actually, I have never danced with any guys under about 40 outside of my family, except Samuel. They taught us some line dances and we taught them some Israeli folk dances.

I have always wanted to dance, but I think one reason I wouldn't take many kinds is the whole area of PT and the improper feelings that so easily come from dancing with people of the opposite sex.

Do you think we will dance in heaven? It seems like done in a proper fashion, dancing can be beautiful, harmless, and a way to glorify God with our bodies.

(It is so easy to dance in wrong ways though... *sigh*... I'm still not sure how much i should and should not do.)

When I say harmless I mean that the person dancing would not be in the wrong. If we want to, we can usually make something otherwise beautiful, into something sensual and sinful.

Great, it seems like your family is on track in practice. Hopefully that conservativism will continue throughout your life. It's so easy to drift when there's little Scripture to go by. There really must be a strong understanding of the authority of every word, command, and principle of God's Word to dictate to us the proper way to live. GOD'S Word -- that's why it's authoritative.

I love what one man said about proper modest dress. If we love others as ourselves, and if we understand what Jesus said about adultery in the heart, we'd always be careful about dressing modestly to guard others from stumbling. The same can be said about dancing. ...

There's this song that says we will "dance around heaven with Moses and Aaron." It wouldn't be surprising at all if there is godly dancing in heaven. Dancing was intended to be a form of worshiping and delighting in God (Ps.149:3; Ps.150:4; Ec.3:4; etc.), I believe, so how could heaven be devoid of it? So, personally I'd say yes.
