Singing Solos and the Gospel

Best men don’t sing at weddings, do they? They shouldn’t sing solos, anyway. People are trying to get me to sing a solo at my brother’s wedding! Seriously folks, I’m not soloist quality. =P I like to think I’m a good judge of these things ( Read more... )

Thank you for the comment. I certainly don't mind good ones like you wrote.

My experience with direct in-person witnessing is rather limited, I'm sad to say. If I don't make more opportunities, I think it would remain that way. Some was done while in college talking to fellow students and some through church ministry, but that's nearly it. =/

Yes, Kirk Cameron and -- What was his name? -- ah, forgot. I've heard some of his messages and was close to attending a conference here in Florida by them. Somewhere along the line I forgot about it, though, and missed it.

What I've heard of their lessons was good. This one guy I talked with didn't seem to have a problem acknowledging his sinfulness; he said he was a sinner several times. Without even thinking of the witnessing "method" presented, I mentioned several of the things that Kirk Cameron mentioned in his messages, such as about lust and breaking the seventh commandment, and how that one sin makes us deserving of hell. Surprisingly he listened without interrupting or arguing against what I was saying.
