Virginia Beach, Lent, and Everything Else
Sooo, it's the 2nd of March, 2008. And wow, has this year been blowing by! It really has gotten off to a decent start, I have very few complaints so far, except for the usual of course :). But you know, I've been trying to put life into perspective lately, and things truly could be a lot worse. I am immensely grateful for everything i have been blessed with in these 21 years, and just so thankful.
Just a little update for the internet world (if anyone still cares!):
Work could be better, and I'm kind of on the lookout for something different...it's time for a change I do believe.
Randolph and i took a mini road trip to ATL and then to VA Beach. It really was an awesome time! I got almost five days away from home and we had an adventure. It's so awesome to put faces to names of people I've heard so much about- like his dad, who is awesome by the way! He is a preacher so we got to go to one of his best friend's churches in Portsmouth, where we were sooo incorrectly introduced as "Son and Fiance" to the congregation....which was HILARIOUS! We were like noo....just friends buddy. The church service was amazing, I would go to that church every Sunday, hands down. We went to the VA aquarium (which was disappointingly small) and stayed downtown where we walked around to a few places and ate at the Macaroni Grill adn then at the Cheesecake Factory with his Dad. All in all, it was a great time, and i really hope to be able to travel a lot more in the future! I'll post pictures later.
Also, I've given up a few things for Lent, and honestly haven't cheated once! Go me! One of the things was celebrity gossip...wow, after not paying attention to that crap for so long I'm almost starting to feel normal again hahaha...
soo that's that and yeah, i hope all is going just as well or even better for everyone else!
