San Francisco is still new enough to HQ that, to zir mind, crying, looking frustratedly confused, and cursing the circumstances can mean only one thing. Ze strides over to the crying girl and tips zir head to the side, attempting eye contact.

"Hey, are you ok? Let me guess - not expecting to be where you are?"

I've been here almost a year, really it should be I shouldn't be surprised at what happens in this place anymore. Yet still I manage to be~

"A year? Oh...pardon me!"

Zir face flushes ever so slightly, but that doesn't stop zir from continuing to look concerned.

"I'm already not too surprised by the nasty things it does, and I've been here two weeks. But, ah...are you going to be ok?"

Ze squints and wrinkles zir nose a bit.

"Being surprised keeps life interesting, but...dare I ask what it did to you?"

This is a little to much, especially without rum being involved. And well, ten minutes I go I was Liam Murphy, state of New Jersey and happily male. Now though, I'm not so much a guy anymore and have some lovely locks going on.

Chrys' eyebrows raise and ze blinks emphatically. Zir first breath is a bit sputtery, but after that, the rhythm of zir breathing returns to normal.

"Just...spontaneously?"

Ze sounds a little amused at this concept.

"It'll get undone, right? Other people tell me that everything this place does, it undoes again, for better or for worse..." There may be a little bit of resentment on the last clause there, but it dissipates before ze continues.

"Compromising situation or not, it's nice to meet you. I'm Chrys Gates, city of San Francisco."

And I certainly hope that's the case, I would really hate to be stuck like this for longer than I need to be. But yeah, nice to meet you as well Chrys~ Always fun to meet someone form the other coast.

"Than you need to be? I wonder what HQ needs, to do that...I suppose you could take this opportunity to think about how the world interacts with you differently as female - though that could be a bit tricky if everyone knows you already. Or just to think more about a feminine side, since I figure everyone has a bit of full gender spectrum in them..."

What HQ needs? To torment us until it gets bored is what I've gotten before. And yeah, that is tricky. Being the only redhead with a eye patch people are going to guess pretty quickly.

"Erm. I guess I didn't word that so well. I mean more...take it as a chance to express anything that you might not've expressed as a guy? If there is anything, that is. Different apparent gender, different social standing, different things you can express..." Ze shrugs. "Though I guess I would be the type to revel in such an experiment, huh?"

... Well, I suppose. I mean, I guess that's interesting to think about. Can't say I would have thought about, still kind of stuck in the whole surprise of you know... hey, boobs! part.

San Francisco laughs lightly.

"Or you could run with that, make it a proper drag show, and get the last laugh on HQ by making people think you've done this all on purpose."

Make everyone think I've completely lost it, huh? Sounds... kind of exciting really.

Chrys grins now.

"I don't think anyone could entirely not expect someone - if not themself - to lose it, what with this place acting the way it does. Might as well have fun with the crazy?"
