...Hey, Adian. I actually remembered this year.
[Meriken's returning from the store with a bunch of bags on her arm and a few between her teeth (She can't use the other arm). The contents of said bags are:
ingredients for pancakes
three bottles of maple syrup.
Yes, since it's Adian's birthday, she plans on binge eating a truckload of pancakes. She's not too fond of them, but hey it's the least she could do for missing her sister's birthday this year. And forgetting the rest of the time.
Unfortunately, carrying heavy bags in one's mouth is not a good idea, and Meriken drops the few she is with a sickening crack.
