Disappointment.
The destruction of hope.
The pessimist of the optimist.

Time and time again, I always want to believe in the good in people, but they never fail to prove me wrong.
Am I the only one left that still treasure friendships and values monogamy?
I just got stood by a close friend visiting me in the city.
And I can't believe he actually stood me up for a sex date that he had just met overnight.
Complete ludicrous. I'm also sad that I get to witness this completely ugly side of him.
That causal sex, fun is actually so important to him.
Not to mention how he seemed so unfazed when he mentioned he had done it with someone that was married.
With no sort of remorse or whatsoever, in fact he thought it was totally acceptable.
And this is the exact same friend that wished for the sanctity of gay marriage and having kids some day.
I guessed I had never really knew him that well as a friend, or I guess I always give people too much a benefit of the doubt.

This is definitely a test of my friendship, it won't end because of this.
But somehow it is ruined, and I can never quite see him as the person I used to know anymore.
I felt like a part myself had died along with this loss of belief, making me more distrustful and harder to trust people.
