And the summer goes awry..
It was all gravy till yesterday afternoon around 5:30 P.M.... Then fate reared her ugly little head. I was surfin on some fun little 2 foot sandbar break. No normally this is great, it wasn't always closing out so it was worth it. Then I am riding this one and get knocked off, and because of the shallow sandbar, I landed on my left foot which subsequently slipped and I sprained it pretty bad under water. No most people would say, " But matt it's in water, it can't be that bad." FUCK YOU. My ankle was the size of a baseball and hurt like a mother fucker to step. Not to mention now my achilles tendon feels really messed up.
Now normally, being an athletic minded person, I don't worry much about injuries because we all know they WILL go away. Unfortunately, I've been having fairly bad luck since. Between missing work ( Not that I want to go, I just need money and I'll have to make it up anyways), losing at the dog track, ( trying to get the money I wasn't making), and over all having a bad time, this ankle shit sucks.
On the bright side, I am alive, and trying to stay that way, so it's not all bad. I wish I didn't know so much about how bad smoking was, because then I wouldn't have such a good reason not to. I didn't realize before what kind of good buzz smoking can give you. Not that I am gonna start, it's just too bad there's all that cancer and shit.
I need to get in shape, I have a bad feeling that I'm gonna rationalize that away to not having time though. You've got to love the human thought process.
There's a part of me that'd love to sit here and write more about all the different goings on in my life, but there's another much stronger and frankly more persuasive side that says get some sleep so you can try to work atleast a half day tomorrow, so I am gonna listen to him. I'd say I love you guys and that I am out, but chances are I am just acquaintances with you at most, and that our existence's bare little on eachothers lives. So good luck with all that.
