I woke up at 4:00 today. But that's okay, because last night was a good night, albeit a late one.
I finally saw Good Night, and Good Luck. George Clooney should be applauded for making a stylish, artistic film based on a true story that has particular significance in the world today. And he was applauded, actually, at the end of the film. The acting was great, the cinematography was beautiful, the direction was awesome and seeing David Straithairn as Edward R. Murrow sitting so regally with cigarette in hand almost makes me want to take up smoking. Almost.
Anyway, it's the best movie I've seen in a theater in a long time. Finally. Hollywood's not totally dead yet.
And then I went to Kristin, JP and Amanda's and watched the end of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and all of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Excellence on all counts. Need I say more?
