Grammy Museum listening party: Something New

Aug 11, 2014 19:05

The Grammy Museum in LA will have another Beatle listening party, this time for Something New:

Back, for the third time, by popular demand! The Record Theater: The Beatles' Something New.

Imagine a theater. As Chuck Berry would say "the place is packed." Lights go out. An album cover is on the screen. Suddenly, a vinyl record is being played.

From the first song on side one, to the last song on side two. No phones. No computers. No interruptions.

To continue The GRAMMY Museum's celebration of The Beatles' 50th Anniversary in America during the year 2014, join us as we welcome you to the Clive Davis Theater to experience The Beatles' third Capitol LP release, Something New. To quote the back linear notes, "And needless to say it's wonderful in the very special and exclusively marvelous Beatles way!"

After the record ends, Dave Morrell, author of Horse-Doggin': The Morrell Archives Volume One, and Brian Kehew, co-author of Recording The Beatles, will join Etzioni on stage for a discussion.
