Media Day: Unpleasant Interviews

Sep 04, 2013 12:46

It's been a very long time since I've done a media day. Yesterday I was watching a video of Sean, speaking with a French interviewer promoting his album 'Friendly Fire' (it was an old interview) and a performance he was set to do at a small venue ( Read more... )

Fame's a bitch. Worry about when they quit asking about your Dad, Sean. That's the red flag.

LOL.

I have to admit that when he shut down, and sat there, head hanging just a bit that I laughed. There was a time when Sean really dug talking about his dad and being asked about him. During promotion of 'Into The Sun' back in the late 90s. Then he went off on his conspiracy theory rant regarding his dad's murder, and the press chewed him up and spit his ass out.

Conspiracy theory... LMAO!! I remember that. The government, right? Nice way to get the theorists to begin to ponder WHO would benefit from yer Dad's death, son. Like... yer mom?

Yup! He hung the blame on the government, at the time Sean was convinced that the government had his father murdered to silence him because of John's so-called political influence over millions of people. I think it's probably just Sean's way of making sense of a senseless act. I don't know if he still believes that to be true. I hope not.

Poor guy. The interviewer handled that badly. Who just sits there while their subject hanging their head in silence?

The interviewer probably felt awkward as hell. I'm the type that is uncomfortable when people just shut down. I don't know what what to do. I probably would've sat there as well.

I'm sure the language barrier combined with shock didn't help the interviewer... what is French for 'whoops' ?

I can understand that outside the context of an interview, but I would expect a journalist to have more experience/training for handling such a situation.

Poor guy.

Sean looks so much like a rabbi here....and funny that the subtitles are Hebrew.
