Well, when Stella received said award, Dad paid her back because he's a dork like that:
Btw, have you seen Paul's acceptance speech for the Rock'n Roll Hall of Fame thing where he asks Stella to come on stage with him? It's somewhere between flinchworthy (because he's obviously somewhat drunk - this was not a year after Linda's death and on the eve of what would have been their 30th wedding anniversary - THANK YOU JANN WENNER) and touching (because Stella's holding him together, literally).
That last picture makes me realize that Mary carries herself like Linda. Here's another cute Paul daddy moment (but with Stella):
