A monument to The Beatles' acclaimed 1969 album Abbey Road is to be erected in Siberia, it has been announced.

The multimillion-ruble tribute is to be constructed in the southwestern city of Tomsk by sculptors Nikolai and Anton Gnedyh, according to Russian news agency RIA Novosti.

The bronze sculpture will display George Harrison, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and John Lennon crossing the street outside of EMI Studios, as depicted on Abbey Road's cover.

Tomsk's Mayor Nikolai Nikolaychuk further explained that he's hopeful that the project will be partly funded by the city's residents.

"We've got a lot of music fans and those brought up on Beatles music," Nikolaychuk. "Many of them are wealthy people. And I'm sure they could invest in this idea."

Local officials have suggested that the Beatles monument is expected to debut this fall.
