OKAY BIG DREAM NEWS. It are exciting! This one seriously could be like a book or a movie but I'm lazy so we have an issue. It was like a Circle Trilogy by Nora Roberts/Seven Deadly Wonders by Matthew Reilly/
sly_life medly.
There was Kia (who had Penny's powers except she needed aids sometimes more than Penny does), Chris, Quinlan, Tristan, William, Senga, Micah (who actually had shapeshifting powers like this guy Larkin in the NR books), and this girl Nora from the NR books who's a vampire hunter. Only in the books Larkin and Nora end up hooking up and instead Tristan and Nora were the ones all kissy kissy. Kia and Micah were still aunt and nephew, tho. They pretty much had to traverse this whole island with only eight people in their group and face an entire army and traverse many ancient and new magical traps that the opposing army had set up for them (hence the SDW, except in SDW the opposing army didn't have a magical thing that allowed the head of the army to see when they tripped a certain trap and thus pinpoint their exact location to take them out, and actually it's a little like the NR books too only in the NR books they had to raise an army and in the dream it was just these eight), to get to this battlefield that was pretty much like Armageddon (hence the NR books) to be the first ones to do this certain ritual and thus either restore peace and balance in the world or control it forevars (hence the SDW).
I don't remember how it started (except I remember it had something to do with a neighbourhood and a dog and I don't think it was actually all that related, oh well), I just remember they're locked in one huge room of this house trying to figure out escape because Kia had seen her childhood best friend (the survivors of this small town were all also huddled in the house because the arm was outside trying to kill anyone and everyone, no questions asked) and so she let the girl in for safety and then she ended up telling the army which room they were in and Chris had to kill her and Kia got all weepy but whatever. And then she decided that everyone should grow wings and leave through the window, so Tristan and William were already set, but I guess Kia was still with Wade in this dream because she was the one who ended up having to give the rest wings. And usually Penny just has to think of something or point at it and it shows up, but Kia's powers were pretty diluted so she had to have these special water guns that she pointed at a person's shoulder blades and then wings grew, and I say she was still with Wade because the wings were pink like Tristan's and had that weird firey design that were on Wade's. Aw? But so they all flew out really low with the army knocking on the door, and of course Kia was the last one out, so she shut the window again and shut the blinds and then unlocked the door to throw the army off, and then they all flew really really low to the ground for extra speed. But eventually the woods became too dense so they had to lose the wings, and they kept tripping traps and things. Like there was this one place with a huge trip stone in the center, and water rushed out of it and flooded everything. Quinlan clearly had to run v. v. fast, but they all made it. And Kia and William fought for control a lot, because William I guess had experience but Kia felt like she knew what to do in sticky situations and stuff and Idk it was weird. And then they got to this huge plain that looked like crop circles, and they knew the army was after them, so then this train showed up on the tracks and they had to outrun the army and cling to the sides and top. So everyone got on, but a couple of army guards had detained Micah, so after Kia helped him get out he shifted into a horse and Kia hopped on and they galloped as fast as they could and William and Quinlan were all JUMP, JUMP ON KIA, MICAH CAN GET ON LATER! and instead Kia used the water guns and told him to morph back and gave him the wings again and they jumped on that way. And for some reason Nora and Tristan were on the top of the train and Nora almost fell off because the army made her part of the roof very slippery so Tristan saved her and it was very aw. I should point out that they weren't the only ones on the outside of the train, that was the popular mode of transportation for poor who couldn't afford a ticket, the reason being that if they could stay on the entire trip then they had essentially earned their ticket, since the ride was really bumpy and tricky and full of, well, traps to knock them off.
And then I woke up, so I don't know how it ends, but I was like OMG BRAIN REMEMBER YOU MUST REMEMBER.
