unabashed ramble
I have something to look forward to!
I am going to Costa Rica. For two weeks at the end of the summer. I am going to spend as much time as possible on the beaches.
I AM SO EXCITED. You see, I have never been to an island! We talked about going on a cruise but this is so much better. Paul and Katy are going to teach me how to surf and I'm going to probably take lessons there anyway. I can not, repeat can NOT, wait to go.
I am really lucky. There's no way I could afford to go on my own for that long. As soon as Paul invited me, I decided to start saving and go for as long as I could. Then he told me the most fantastic news: if I really want to go, if I can pay for my ticket, he'll pay for the hotel and meals. He said he should. Add the fact that his dad is a retired air force pilot so he gets discounted tickets, and this trip is actually going to happen. I still can't believe he offered to pay for all of that. I'm going to search and buy him the most perfect souvenier.
EE! That makes me think of walking the beach shops in a sarong and the smell of the ocean. I think this is going to be an experience. I will have to empty out my memory card. I reiterate, I am SO excited. I know at least paul, robbie,and I are going. I don't know about allan. and katy and pierce are going to try to come. We were already planning on definitely going on a trip, so them coming is actually feasible and really only depends on how much the hotel is. I cannot freaking wait.
I have never been on a cruise. I have never been to an island. I have never been south of sarasota in my own state. I have never really been anywhere tropical. And most of my friends have, a ton of times, or live in south fla anyway. So I hear about these beautiful places and I have no basis for comparison. And I have wanted to go for so long. I know I;m rambling but I am EXCITED! August is never going to get here.
