After oh... almost a week away? I owe fic and tags and whatnot, and will totes get to that all asap.

I totally get you on your allegiance to the books. In general I prefer the books to the film, even if I go at 'em in the opposite order.

And ahaha, yes. The film series must have been a bitch and a half to tackle, and while I don't know the books yet, I applaud the filmmakers for their achievement. Just as a film franchise it's amazing what they've done. The continuity they established and maintained, and the consistent level of um... quality? I can't think of the word I'm looking for, but basically all the movies were stellar in the length and breadth of what was done. Epic, on all fronts. They never coped out like some film franchises do (*cough*X-menLastStand*cough* and the Bat film THAT SHALL NOT ME NAMED).

Just having all the same cast is an achievement.

And of course the effects got better all the way through. :D

And more Kentucky exploring! Your state is so preeeetty! Next time you make it out our way we'll totes have to go driving so I can show you some of the desert beauty, but right now I'm mostly jealous of your green.

Obviously I need to talk more to mom before she leaves. And if worse comes to worse, I will go old school and make with the letter writing.

I am glad Adam got the job, and it'll be a good thing that they're there to look after the grandfolks, and I know my mom likes it out there, so I'm trying to be positive on those fronts.
