I am not sure whether I should order it now and wait until May, or just say screw it and wait until August, when I'll be able to get a copy without having to pay shipping. If it were between March and August, I would order now no question. But waiting TWO MONTHS for it to get here? Well... Eh. I'll probably order it soon anyway. ;)
Your icon is amazingly appropriate and awesomecakes. Sigh. That game.
Oooh, thank you for reminding me about the book. *has money at Borders*
I'm writing Intent-verse, with angels and demons and shit, but right now it's Candice Dupree being celestial black ops and gallantly sacrificing her body to keep people distracted. Sorry?
I am insanely jealous of those of you who would theoretically be able to zip up to Connecticut and grab a copy. Or even just not have to wait a month. ;)
The fact that "sacrificing her body" does not sound like anything but "has sex with lots of demons" is probably a sign that you and I are both going to hell, do not pass go, do not collect $200.
I am annoyed because Goldberg had a signing at the UConn Co-Op before and after the game today and the game was sold out before I got my hands on any birthday money, which would have meant I would have been able to go to the game and the signing. And then I was forced into the parent's plans anyways, so I couldn't even go up just for the signing! I need this book!
Yeah, I told Beth IF she could possibly make the time, she should totally go up there and see if she can catch the signing. Early release! Omg I would pay so much to get my hands on this book today. But she probably didn't. Jobs suck that way. You still have a couple of chances for more signings though!
I totally looked at Google Maps forever trying to figure out how feasible going to games in Hartford or Storrs would be from Boston. Apparently... very feasible. It's, what, a two hour drive? (I mean, I don't know what traffic is like from Boston to CT, but come on, it's CT, people have to LIVE THERE for traffic to exist, right? ;) )
Clearly, my reasons for going to law school are ESPN and living near the UConn Huskies.
I do, but none of them are actually anywhere in the vague vicinity of south-east Connecticut, because it is the back-end of the state around here! I shall definitely be attempting to endeavor to make one though.
Yeah, it's totally feasible. My dad was commuting daily to Cambridge for a while last year, and I know people who would travel from Storrs to catch a Sox game. Plus there's always the time when they go to play Holy Cross, and away in Providence is really easy from Boston too.
If Swin does leave, I want it to be to an Eastern Conference team because it would be bad to have to play her 4 or 5 tomes during the season. But right now I'm crossing my fingers for her to resign with the Storm.
As for Bird at the Buzzer, I haven't seen the game it based on and I'm fairly positive that I'm going to want to watch it during/after reading. That and I'm trying to limit my Amazon purchases until I sell some textbooks back.
Yeah, that. And it'd just be easier to send her off with my blessings if she can say, hey, it's just to be closer to my family. But HOPEFULLY she stays. Hopefully. I'm just saying, if she MUST insist on breaking our hearts, at least give me something to be happy about in it too, right? Swin and AJ playing together would make me happy.
I haven't seen the game either, just the way both halves ended. (Die Bitches is a time-honored tradition. Yep.) One of my goals when I get to Connecticut and start snooping around is to get my hands on a copy of that game. I mean, there are highlights on youtube. Somebody has to have it out there SOMEWHERE. Jeff Goldberg rewatched it with the players! Mr. Goldberg, how much do I have to pay you to get that footage?

...Those are perfectly valid reasons, I am sure!

I am sending you a package anyway. I doubt the book is going to add much to the weight.
So when you live in Boston, are you going to get a car?

And no, obviously not. I'll be living in the dorms, where would I keep a car? But I'm assuming there are buses. Rentals. Zipcar. Come on.
