Recording
On Saturday we recorded with Glenn Santry. Tim and I set up on Friday. The piano and drums sound really good, but Tim forgot to bring a drum key, so we had to tune the drums on Saturday morning.
We recorded two songs, "She Went And Joined A Cult" and "C (In An E Hole)". The latter sounds great, but the former may need to be redone. When I added the tambourine, I realised that I'd let the drums be far too rock, when they should play a pop beat. I'll listen to the reference copy tonight and make a decision.
I keep thinking to myself "very good is the enemy of great".
When I was playing "C (In An E Hole)", we arrived at the ending, and as soon as I starting hitting the C/B tones I was back in the cult, I remembered what it was to live there. Such a creepy experience.
