Okay! I'm at the house today, doing some planting in the garden, and with some spaghetti sauce simmering on the stove. If I'm not in the kitchen or the shower, I'm in the backyard.

We're going to have basil and garlic. ^_^

*True to her word, it's a few hours (weird Nexus time is forgiving sometimes), and Isis is home! She'll check the kitchen and backyard first, because, really, if Eiko's in the shower.

...Uh. Well, let's just say she'll be surprised while in the shower. It's a VERY NICE surprise.*

Alas, Eiko is in the kitchen, having already showered, and with a pile of thick magazines nearly two feet tall, looking slightly dismayed.

"...cripes," she is saying, looking at 'Modern Bride' with more than a little dismay.

Ah well, Isis will come up and hug her from behind, then, take THAT, "Hello, ajin." And reading over her shoulder! "...That's quite fancy." She remarks, quietly.

Any day and twice on Sunday. Wait, that IS how it usually goes, isn't it?

"How do they deal with this?" She's peering at an article on 'catering the perfect reception'. "I mean, I'm pretty rich, and I'm not sure how most people pay for this without selling a body part." She shakes her head. "What are Skyderan marriages like? I think an Earth wedding is going to be way too ridiculous, especially considering the, uh, unusual set of guests." then she pales.

"We have to make a guest list...."

And sometimes more than once or twice a day, depending if they have time, or their breaks from classes coincide.

"To be completely honest, I have no idea how this sort of thing is delt with." Isis rests her head on Eiko's shoulder, reading and looking at the catering page. "Skyderian marriages, as I've understood, are rather like the Earth ones, with minor differences here and there, such as how the bride and groom are dressed." A beat, "..Speaking of which, I haven't exactly found a way to tell which one of us is which." She has an idea or three that might be plausible.

And then Eiko mentions the guest list. "...Oh Goddess. That makes me wonder where in the world we're going to hold this. The guestlist alone is going to be remarkably huge..."

"Well, there's Tropico. Loads of room there to do it, and lord knows it's not going to cost a lot to hire the place. Or somewhere in Skydera? Is there someplace we can rent that might be large enough?" She sighs, leaning her head back onto Isis's shoulder.

"Not exactly, but some ideas? Tell me, sweetheart. I need something to think about other than canapes and bruchetta."

"Tropico might be doable, and it has a bit of a sentimental meaning for us both, since, well..." Faint blushing, "We had our first real kiss there." Aw. Isis, you're a romantic sometimes. "But I can check around for somewhere on Skydera too, as a just-in-case, it's good to have options." Though, really, Tropico might be EASIER.

Because, honestly, offworlders isn't an easy concept to 'splain when one's world hasn't been out in space in a rather long time.

"As for ideas, I think I have a solution to the bride and groom issue." Isis shifts her position a little. Yes, now Eiko's head is against her chest, but Isis can give one of those oh-so-famous shoulder-rubs, "I think, since, er, you asked me, I could be the 'bride', so my father could hand me off and such."

Eiko mrrrs at the shoulder-rub. "Dassa good idea there. Tropico for the ceremony, your dad gives you away 'cause I proposed... wonder if we could get Some to cook for us, he might like the challenge..." She smiles languidly.

"you're so smart, Isisbunny." Amazing how a shoulder-rub like that turns Eiko into something so, well, squishy.

Isis hees. Making Eiko squishy and melty from shoulderrubs is always fun, if for the reactions alone. "Mmmhmm, I think it might be doable that way." She leans down for a small, upside down kiss.

"Some might like the challenge indeed. We'll need to talk to him about it. Though we might have to be careful with how much light we have if we do." She says, after a moment of thought.

"You bring it out of me, Eikokitty." Which, really, works, because massages reduce Eiko to a melty, catlike thing. ^_^

"'Strue," she says softly. "We could have it at night, though, which might be a nice change." She turns her head to kiss Isis. "So... you get to pick out a dress, I think I may actually get a tuxedo for this just for the silly factor... we should make a guest list."

She grins a bit. "Also, what we want."

"Mmhmm." Then she blinks. "..I have to pick out the dress." Wow. Hee. "And I think you'd look good in a tux." Though, really, in Isis's opinion, Eiko can make a paper bag look damn hot.

"But yes, we should make a guest list too, hmm.." That thread goes off on a thoughtful background tangent, who all to invite? Because really, she doesn't want to SKIP anyone by accident. "..And yes, wedding gifts." Wow.

Just. Seriously. Wow. It's actually in the planning stages of happening.

Eiko grins. "Let's each make one, then work out who's just totally unacceptable and who's duplicated, then work from there."

"Sounds like a plan, vendya" Isis grins. "Hmm, let's see, we're holding the rehearsal dinner at Hips's bar, right?"

"Yes. So I think we're sort of obligated to invite Hips and Ramon. And Some, if he cooks." She grins. "I mean, bad form and all."

"Indeed." Isis grins, "I was just double checking so I could get PINpoints to my aunts and father with the proper locations for everything already keyed in." ^_^

A beat. "..this means I need to find bridesmaids and you need to find a best man. ..Or woman. or.. uhm." Well. Uh. That's going to be an interesting thing or three to ponder, there.
