Today, I introduced Moonshadow to my father. I could sense her nervousness over it, but it went well. Hells, it went better than I thought it was going to go. Good humor went all around, too.
And even better? Dad approves. He APPROVED~
After the meeting and a bit of talking so Moonshadow and Dad could know each other a bit better, we went shopping.
Now that was an adventure. I suspect that Moonshadow's world is vastly different from my own. I didn't mind answering questions as they came, honestly, it was fun. Bought a few things here and there, along with just generally showing Moonshadow around. It was nice seeing that wonder in her eyes as I showed her everything. And I kept my promise. I didn't allow /anything/ strange to happen to her. If that wonder she had was anything like that wonder I had when she showed me around Stormhold...
...Was beautiful, really. Had fun just /explaining/, too. Got to be in teacher mode.
And note to self: Skyderian writing is apperently vastly different from other worlds. We use pictographic symbols for different words, and the symbols facing in different directions to indicate different meanings (Like if a noun is verb'd for example). Other worlds don't do this, they arrange symbols, 'letters' in an order, spaced between individual words.
Needless to say, this is /quite/ a problem if I plan to sell books in my shop, not to mention advertise, and making SIGNS.
...It shouldn't be too much trouble to learn, right? Or find a translator spell....
**Added, at the bottom:*
Note to self. Clock Experiment. The Nexus has wierd time differences that might do some good to actually know. Set one up in the Sanctuary, one at home, others in various locations.
Also see if I'm allowed to set one up in Stormhold, again, for acadimic purposes. It might do some good to know the differences.
