When Grif vanishes, there are various shouts of "HE'S A TELEPORTER!" To the others, the first assumption is that he's a mage, or is possibly using a device to accomplish this. It is, after all, the year 3238, here. Sophisticated tech may be hard to come by on this ravaged world, but it has, and does exist.

It's about this time Martok arrives, when the gas goes off. Even stranger is when he's uneffected by it, but the rest of the troops around him are reduced to vomiting idiots. Man, that is not a pretty sight.

He's very clearly not wearing any sort of rebreather device. "..I suppose it was bound to happen. That armor is not of this world, is it?" He quirks a brow.

..Huh. Didn't his eyes have pupils a second ago?

Isis's cell is further complicated by the fact that, with the exception of the bottom edge of the window? Most of it's underground.

"Vendya?!" She shouts, glancing up and around. Gods, please let this be real. She's also trying to confirm a direction Eiko's coming from.

She's also surprised at the information of her FATHER being here. That explains several things.

Charlie is successful in blowing the wheel up on one of the unitanks, but it fires off a retaliatory shot off from the main cannon as it goes down, the second one is on the move, trying to get to the apparent 'ship's side. As, that's what they're assuming these thing is.

"Uh oh." Grif's perhaps a bit too busy, on the move, to notice Martok's eyes and whether or not they have pupils at any point, but he can at least spot a guy walking through the gas without effect easily enough, and that spells a high likelihood of trouble. Okay, slight change of plan, then.

He sweeps the rifle across the front line, just to keep their heads down a bit, then lets it hang on its strap while the hand he'd been using for it reached for its own gas grenade. In a run-and-gun situation like the one Grif's in, the point at which one changes directions is the one in which one is most likely to take some hits, as there is a moment of, effectively, standing still, no longer on one course but not yet on the next. Given the charge on his shield, though, he's not overly worried.

It's at that point, then, that the portal opens, wider than the last. It doesn't really provide any cover, but it does give him the space so that he can toss the armed grenades each in a sideways diagonal throw. The other end of the portal, this time, is towards the front ranks of guards, and the way the grenades were thrown makes sure they come out each with some momentum angled to widen the spread between them before going off. Grif doesn't expect that more gas will make the stuff more likely to affect the head man, but he does hope that it'll obscure his vision, at least a bit... At least enough for the next trick.

Back on the run, in the other direction, Grif's hands reach back into the bandoliers as his legs tense for a crouching leap. While he'd accepted Eiko's offer to provide the weapons for this operation, there were two items from Black Mesa that he'd carried along with him anyway. One was the crowbar, which hadn't needed to be used yet.

The second was the compact pack secured around the back of his lower torso, which took his latest movements as a command to activate. The long-jump module's jet engines spool up and kick in, lifting him just a little bit off the ground and rocketing him across the firing line. Momentarily freed from the jostling of his run, a pair of fragmentation grenades are thrown, lobbed high so that they'll go off just over the guards' heads, rather than on the ground.

The plasma rifle is back in his hands again as his feet touch down, and the PINpoint activates, depositing him at a point where, before he'd arrived, he'd determined would provide at least a few seconds' cover for a shield recharge.

Eiko flickers into view right outside the window. "Hang tight... but go to the other side of the cell. This is gonna get a bit weird."

Once Isis is there, Eiko proceeds to use a fusion lance to cut away a chunk of the wall - the entire window goes, along with some of the wall, and some of the ceiling. One million degrees of concentrated heat cuts through a LOT of stuff. After it falls in with a CRASH, there's something sprayed to cool the bubbling stuff on the edges.

And Eiko, her eyes too shiny and too bright, reaches a hand in. "Time to go, love." Clasped in it is a bracelet PINpoint.

Charlie, for himself, has his screens up, and is targeting the best he can. Six guns on each flank blast away at the unitanks, and he's reciting some kind of poem on his particular part of the commlink. He's doing what he's meant to do, accomplishing his purpose, and he feels good about it, dammit!

Dragonfly flicks back and forth, in that same uncomfortable-looking start-stop-start-stop mode of movement.

So far she's comms-silent, not wanting to interrupt Eiko unless it ends up necessary.

Isis is quick to hang back as the wall is cut and collapses. She winces when it goes. Eiko will note a heavy iron collar around Isis's neck with a little flashing red light above a type of keyhole.

There's also two very thick, heavy 'gauntlets' around her arms. "Vendya! Thank the gods.." She looks crappy, hair's a mess, and she doesn't even have her glasses (Which is making judging things' locations pretty damn difficult), "I can't get the PIN on my wrist." She jerks at the gauntlets on her arms and they clack rather loudly, "These block my wrists. I think I can do it manually, though."

She doesn't sound sure, mainly for the fact that she's glasses-less, currently.

----

Martok's normal field of vision is blocked by most of the gas, however, this doesn't stop him from seeking out the attacker, "I have to admit, that was a most impressive display, my good sir. However, given that you're not Skyderian, I think that a lot of the dramatics in what I'm about to do will be lost." He half-laughs, a deep sound.

Then he gestures, and a staff appears in his hand in a sudden band of silvery energy. It's not a fighting staff or a mage's staff, it's more of a cane with what appears to be a green sphere with a spinning hourglass within.

To anyone with any sort of advanced senses or sensors? There's a sudden, rather large spike of temporal energy when this occurs (Especially notable when Isis glances in Martok's direction, from her cell, and she doesn't even know he's HERE).
----

As it was, there were only about four tanks, as a prisonbreak this utterly soon was unheard of, much less expected. Meaning that security was not at its best. With one down, that leaves three, and the other two are returning fire from the position near the prison gates.

Given Charlie's size and sophisticated technology, tracking the moving one isn't difficult, though it's safe to say, they're fast as hell for their sheer sizes alone. The wheel (and connections to the engine) explode out from under the tank, sending the body pitching forward into the sand, splaying it everywhere.

"Aw, crap." Even though Grif isn't a Skyderian, and thus lacks whatever special context this guy seems to think they would have on the situation, what he's seen the guy just do is enough to signal a probable whuppin' if he sticks around.

Well, Eiko did tell him that he had discretion to bug out when he felt it got too dangerous. A burst transmission goes out on the communication channel Eiko provided. "Shit. Magic-using cockbite. I'm out before he stops time with his hourglass cane or something. Good luck."

Grif vanishes. About twenty seconds later, at the spot near the front of the ranks where he teleported those last two gas grenades, another portal opens, horizontally, out of which a large crate drops to the ground. Sticking out of a hole in the top of the crate is... well, it looks spherical, with a fiery, hissing corona of blue energy. Maybe it's a spider? No, not so much. Better run, guys, before the chain reaction explosion kicks off in... about a second.

Eiko slides in, and slips a pair of Glasses onto Isis's face. "We'll get this off you right away, and out, love." She starts to pull things out of her pocket, then tosses the fusion lance out of the hall, almost as an afterthought.

And a blip appears in Quinn's HUD. "That's the position of her father. Bring him here."

Then she starts to apply the autolockpick to the neck ring. She talks as she goes. "Okay, Grif, thanks. You did great. See you on the flip side." Then to Isis, "hon, a cane with an hourglass on it; how bad are we talking about here?"

Charlie, for his part, continues to work to disarm the tanks. Except, of course, for the weird energy pulse that just appeared.

The main gun barrel emits a small, quiet whine that begins to grow.

In the space of a moment, Quinn is already zooming off. She can already feel the twinging side-effects of the metadrugs that keep from splattering across the inside of the suit with every start and stop, but it'll be another few hours before anything really starts to hurt.

A few tear gas grenades are dropped here and there, bereft of the ridiculous thrust vectors the semisolid wings give Quinn's suit and so exploding against walls at two hundred MPH.

The plasma grenade emits the expected high pitched whine before it goes off, an explosion that rocks the prison with a bright, electric-blue/cyan flash. Martok makes a horrible screaming noise in the blast, but what's worse is that he manages to survive it.

Admittedly, a kneeling, hulking metal, humanoid shape on the ground, having to use his cane from falling down completely. He vents steam loudly, as well, breathing hard to attempt to cool down from being so close to the explosion.

---

Isis's eyes go distant as she roots through all her knowledge, to the point that she's disoriented when the collar chirps and opens, as well as the gauntlets doing the same thing, and clattering to the floor loudly.

Her powers wash back into control in and then it hits her. "Hourglass cane, oh Kimon-- It's TIMEMASTER!"

--

It's a few turns, and a stairwell, but Isis's father is easily found. He's got a similar setup as far as cuffs and collar goes, and like Isis, he's been relieved of his eye wear (his eyepatch, for the uninitiated). His eye is revealed to be scarred, and pale compared to the other one.

"What in the bloody hell is going on out there?!" ... Needless to say, his yelling might help him be found, since most of the other cells are empty.

Eiko, who has glossed over Skyderan history just enough to get some of the cultural references in slang, pales. "....oh fucknuts." She slaps the PINpoint on Isis's wrist. "We gotta grab your dad and bug out fast," she continues, then stops at a linked voice in her head.

Commander, I am taking some infantry fire. There is also an unusual energy flare in the prison courtyard. My main gun is prepared to fire. However, tactical assets labeled D-1 and Command are in the arc of fire. Request permission to fire a warning shot.

"Hold one, Charlie, wait for tac element evac; fire warning and withdraw to depot." she says, and closes the link. Then she turns to Isis, taking her hand. "I wasn't going to let you stay here. Soon as your father is here, we're gone."

"This is an extraction," Quinn says, clunking to the floor as the wings abruptly stop providing vectored thrust and vanish. "Stand back," she adds- and then, suddenly, she's surrounded by a multitude of impossibly sharp shining knives.

In a few moments, the wall is being sliced apart in pieces, until there's a circular hole large enough for the man to exit through.

I've got him, she says through the commlink. Meet up, or vanish him from here? Referring, of course, to that she could simply exit with him in tow via PINpoint.

Cue Anton's paused, staring, blinking. "I somehow suspect that Ms. Takashima is to thank for this?" We should note that there's NO COMPLAINING in his tone whatsoever. He steps out, jerking at his restraints defiantly.

---

In the prison courtyard, the robot, now identified as Timemaster stands, steam rising from his body still. Silver, armored. Somewhat clunky in design to more modern things, and a clock face built into his chest. Cane held tightly in one hand.

"Perhaps, I think, it is high time for me to make my exit for now. System!" There was a loud chirp amongst the blaring alarms, "Self-destruct code, Martok-one, initiate."

A chirp, "Voiceprint confirmed." And then a facility-wide announcement, "Technopolis Prison Self Destruct Activated, Evacuate immediately, self destruct will occur in five minutes."

With a sweep of silvery energy, Timemaster, and his power signature, are both gone. Out of range, presumably.

Oh. Sure. MAKE THINGS WORSE.

--

"Oh bloody..!" Isis glanced up, "It's going to explode..!" She glanced at Eiko, "We've got to get out of here." o_o

"All units, evac immediately! IMMEDIATELY!"

Eiko takes her own advice, and pulls in Isis for a close hug, a kiss, and a PINpoint transport to the main lab room.

They may be kissing still when Quinn and Anton arrive.

A massive blast goes over the prison from the tank's massive main cannon, as Charlie decides to leave them with a little something.

In orbit, a meteor is shattered to gravel.

And with that flickering of lights, Charlie, too, evacuates, returning to the depot, satisfied with a job well done.

For the honor of the Brigade.

Quinn grabs Anton, and- poof!

"That went well," she comments amiably, watching Eiko and Isis for a moment.

Even if they aren't? Isis is just going to hold onto Eiko for a long time, her eyes closed, just... half-losing herself in her mage sense. One doesn't realize how much of an impact this has on their life until it's gone.

After a while, she speaks. "Goddesses and Gods, that was... There aren't words for it."

Anton, on the other hand, is turned loose of the shackles as soon as the connection with the prison is terminated in the teleport. Their landing is far, far less than quiet on the floor below him. He takes the collar off himself, "I suppose it wasn't entirely explained?"

Isis doesn't stop leaning/clinging on Eiko "Bits, apparently Timemaster was there, as well."

"..." Anton sighed and facepalmed, groaning loudly, "..That explains much."

"We got the guest room set up just in case, and I can get you an eyepatch and..."

And the eyes roll back in her head as all the drugs stop being effective and the exhaustion catches up with her biggest stress relieved, and now she's hanging off Isis, snoring softly.
