I don't normally read BaekTao but this was the only one in the bunch and I liked the idea of soulmates so I decided to give this a shot. I really, really like this. The feeling of loneliness and being left behind was really captured well. I love how Baekhyun, despite feeling really alone, was still genuinely happy for his friends who had all found their soulmates and even did things to help them out. I really loved Lu Han's theory about why Zitao's name appeared on Baekhyun's wrist so late into his life. Somehow, I do believe that the people we are meant for are being prepared for us, while we are being prepared for them. I like the idea of fate and destiny coming into play, or even something divine (God's plan). But I also believe that people should put themselves out there so that they can actually have opportunities to meet 'the one'.

So sorry I rambled. I really liked this a lot. Thank you for writing. <3

anon this is the most wonderful precious story TT___TT i'm so so so glad you chose baektao, FIRST OF ALL, i'm positively thrilled because i was really thinking the past couple of weeks about what i'd like most to read and baektao was really giving me happiness-shivers! SECOND OF ALL, i have no idea what prompts i gave you but this is amazing and lovely and perfectly to my taste! and it had taochen, which i love to the ends of the earths and back, even if it was the saddest taochen that ever sadded. THIRDLY, zitao and baekhyun being second chance soulmates-- a second chance for zitao, who'd lost everything, and a second chance for baekhyun, who thought he'd never have anything at all... it's really beautiful, honestly, and i loved it

i really love the idea of this fic. reading it i was trying to figure out how you were going to work tao into this and the reasons why his name was never on baek's wrist. it's such an interesting concept the whole 'name on wrist of your soulmate' and even how tao had one previously who passed on and then baek's appeared on his wrist....it all makes a lot of sense. the feelings baek went through with not having one and watching everyone around him find theirs...the loneliness and then the acceptance that maybe he didn't have one... and even the anger of baek's name appearing on the day jongdae died when it came to tao's.
i just am very intrigued by the whole idea of this fic. good job anon, you really captured my attention and i couldn't stop reading (i get distracted easily, but with this, dinging messages i was just ignoring, bc i wanted to know more more more)♥♥♥♥

i couldn't figure out how you were going to bring tao into it and have him be the right age, i kept thinking maybe he was an abandoned child that had never been named or something and then when i kept reading, your explanation and way of bringing him into the fic was SO much better than anything i was imagining and i was just O___O wow.
