Well, I am. For some reason, my alarm clock had to wake me up this morning, which rarely ever happens. I usually wake up like 5-10 minutes before it goes off.
Consequently, I was extremely tired for the rest of the day and exhausted. It was weird, but oh well. I came home after work and just plunged into a comatose nap. I haven't drooled that much since I was probably 2 years old. I don't mean to be gross by talking about drool, but I believe that the amount I drool is directly proportional to how much I actually needed the sleep. So I took a 2 hour nap, which is a big deal for me. Usually I only sleep an hour or maybe less and then I'm completely rejuvenated.
I felt a little better when I woke up, but still had a slight headache, so I had some coffee, watched Voyager with Jim and the finale of the White Rapper Show, and now I'm just writing a little before it's time to go to my 19th Century English Novel class.
Every week I like that class more and more because I sit in a corner of the room with this group of people who are just really nice, talkative, and smart. I feel like we are some of the only people in the class who actually like the course.
Anyway, I'll be glad to be starting a new novel after this week. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Bleak House... but after page 950, it get's kinda old. I just like meeting new characters in books is all. Thank goodness I don't get tired of the real people in my life that way.
Also turned in my article finally. Got my revisions back, so I have to work on that. Just have to change the lede and work around with some other facts in it. I plan to do that tomorrow. At least the initial stress is over.
I'm really excited to see Black Snake Moan when it comes out this weekend. Seriously, it looks awesome. We'll see how it goes. Samuel L. Jackson, as always, is the man. Plus, I love movies about the South and this just looks like it will have certain elements of southern gothic that I think I'll appreciate.
Let's see... Netflix list for this week includes The Princess and the Warrior (a foreign German film I believe) and Delicatessen (A weird Terry Gilliam film that sounded interesting). For some reason, I'm on a foreign film kick.
Well, this update is a little boring, but I'm just in a chill mood. Whatcha gonna do about it? I know, nothing. :)
