“You are a disappointment.”
The words rang clear and true. It was not the first time he had heard them. But they do not phase him now. Now, it was just like water off a turtle-duck's back.
Did it even really matter? It was said and done. The war was over and he had lost.
“I don't need your approval.”
And Zuko stood, robes sweeping the damp floor and he turned away from the cell. Ozai sneered and stood as his shackles rattled with his sudden movements.
“ There is no hope for you. You are destined to fail.”
“No, Father.” Zuko turned and grew several inches in that fraction of a second. “I am not you.”
