Newsarama has a five-page preview of Midnighter #16 here. Looks like it's not the last of Anthem yet.

Srsly. Much as Mindy is likable, I'm just like.. really wishing that the badmouthed-crass-girl-sidekick-that-Mids-has-a-soft-spot-for niche could have been filled by Jenny. I'm sure there's a reason it hasn't been (Jenny's major faux pas in the last issue/s for one), I'm just saying is all -_-

Thirded! Otherwise the Midnighter comic tends to just turn into a mid-90s Punisher analogue when things get slow.

What you said.

I like Giffen's art and wish he'd stick to that instead of writing.

I agree it needs more Apollo.

What they all said. And tell me, really, what can Mindy find out that Angie can't?

Oh wait, I forgot, Midnighter is an antisocial badass who hates everyone except for Apollo and Jenny, who he kinda likes, and his pet Mary Sue, apparently.

Agreed. I'm reading those pages and thinking that the only way I could possibly see those scenes unfolding is if Jenny was replacing Ms. Mary Sue. Even then, it'd have to be an OOC Jenny. I think I'm just going to limit my mental picture of the Authority to Warren Ellis' run and Authority: Revolution(s?). The rest is just a bit too much for me.

This piece of dialogue from Midnighter #16 has been nagging at me.

Angie: I know Apollo approves.

Midnighter:Huh, maybe I should rethink this.

He didnt like that Apollo approved of what he was doing?-Tevansp3
