Midnighter claims (in Stormwatch: Team Achilles, so . . . give it what weight you will) that he is a redhead. (Actual dialogue: "That's odd, Midnighter. I never would have pegged you as a blonde [sic]." "Dye job. I'm actually a redhead. You?" Which solves nothing; I merely throw it in because it amuses me to watch Midnighter flirting with a Finn.

Hmmm .. well, he does appear to be a redhead sometimes .. in some panels .. Ah, what the heck. Canon is canon, and none of the other books have offered anything to contradict Midnighter's redheadedness.

Also, that was a very strange issue, from the flirting to the grits ...

So, Team Achilles type brand of Authority continuity ...

There's like, this crazy Finnish guy on Team Achilles who pretty much mopped the floor with Midnighter, but then saved him while he was unconscious so he wouldn't go all 'splodey. And then crazy guy (I remember not his name -_-) invited Mid out to a bar, who showed up in his civvies and mentioned, upon prompting by crazy guy, that he was a redhead Erm, it just occured to me that you may have known this bit already and just missed the grits ^_^;; But in case you hadn't, I'm leaving it up in 'deleted' form so I don't have to type it up again, because I'm a lazy skank like that ( ... )

Pffft, it's a far better fight than the other one featuring Midnighter, Jenny, and some Achilles people later. It wasn't enough that the crap got beaten out of the former two--they were also humiliated far beyond .. well, getting beaten up. (I seem to remember that Mid gets jettisoned out the Door into a compost heap. And there was something else on top of him being waist-deep in shit that added insult to injury, but I can't recall what and I don't want to check.) Plus, they were drawn really, really badly.

What was your earlier validation for Middie being a Southern boy?
