CURRENT TOPIC: What does your dream home look like?
There was a time I would have said the loft
On the top floor of the building, a lot of open space. About seventy thousand windows, so the whole place is filled with natural light. A Really Big Bed, preferably actually closed off from the rest of the space, and warm colors. (Lots of windows, there, too.)
And the bed would have posts and convenient slots in the headboard.
It would also be thin enough wood that your hands wouldn't get uncomfortable holding onto it. I'm just saying.
Yes, fully stocked kitchen, bar, and medicine cabinet. Lived-in, but not cluttered. An actual studio space, although I know me, so it would bleed into the rest of the place, with lots of places to hang up and lay out sketches, pictures.
An enormous couch that you sink into, extremely comfortable, and really thick rugs, so that your knees don't hurt when you can't make it to the bedroom.
Kick-ass stereo system, a closet full of slutty club clothes, and... fuckit, it's my dream house. A pool, and jacuzzi, on the roof, surrounded by a lot of lush plants so that no one could see you (but they could hear you, and envy). A really comfortable guest-room, so anyone could come visit.
Which, inevitably, would wind up at studio space part two, so let's face it. No matter what the dream home looks like, it's gonna wind up covered in paper and printouts and paint.
That's just the geography
Maybe someone else there? Not someone pretentious or obnoxious. Someone to laugh with. Fuck with. Be with Or a golden retriever. I always wanted a dog.
