I think I'm always in the middle of something. At least it always seems like it. But that's the point, right? To get out there and do something. Not to be sitting around on my butt watching life pass me by. You have to throw yourself out there.
Granted, okay, sometimes it hurts and sometimes it's embarrassing and sometimes I've probably wished I hadn't. But you never know until you try. And if it sucks? That happens to everyone. Everyone falls on their face. Everyone gets hurt. If you're afraid of those things you're not going to have a very interesting life. Sooner you accept them and just go for what you want, the better. That's what I did a long time ago.
I've almost been shot, wrecked my guitar, gotten punched a couple of times, but you know what? It's worth it. It's always worth it. No matter what.
