My name is Bower, Corporal Bower.
I was part of a settler mission that went very, very wrong. My primary function onboard was to maintain the reactor, keep the ship running and keep primary systems operational, I was good at it from what I can remember. Not that I remember a lot.
A massive downside to hypersleep is the loss of memory and disorientation, the personal memories are always the hardest to come by.
I mentioned things going wrong and they did - space Pandorum (madness) got the better of the flight personnel and one in particular went really fucking crazy. He spent years torturing people until both he and them weren't human anymore, not by any measure of the word.
923 years later and I wake up in the hell he created, making the next 24 hours an interesting experience. The creatures weren't human like I said before, they hunted us like some sort of walking/running meatsacks. Fuck me I never knew I could run as fast as I did when I first saw them.
Thankfully I remembered as much as I did about that reactor or else the ship and everything/everyone on it would have been lost. Not that it wasn't lost already. Gallo really screwed us all over.
It's a miracle any of us made it off that ship alive let alone 1, 213. Out of the thousands that set off it's not that impressive, btu all things considered it's pretty good.
Now we're on Tanis trying to figure out how to rebuild a civilisation that centuries ago destroyed itself.
No pressure, huh?
OOC: Bower is of course from the recently released movie Pandorum. He's suffering from a slight (large) form of PTSD but he's fun to talk to and willing to communicate. Look forward to getting him involved!
