Abbey Road crossing is fun, but only if you're really a Beatles fan because you're just crossing a street. The cars don't stop. But it feels like you're close to greatness... which is the same feeling I got when I first set foot into the Globe. I know it's not the same building or even on the same site, but for real, it's impressive nonetheless.
If you can, you should try to hit up Hyde Park/Speaker's Corner on Sunday mornings. Once you realize most of it's rubbish, you can enjoy yourself. My LJ for the whole trip is set off day by day, so perhaps you'll see something you like. I didn't do the London Eye, which is a big-ass Ferris wheel, but those who did enjoyed it. If you're into history, definitely see the Tower of London and that type of stuff. Piccadilly Circus for some shopping. There. That should keep you busy. Oh, and the Theater District is at Leicester Square; it's mostly bad-ass anyway.
Most of the cool shit is on the Piccadilly Line. Abbey Road is actually pretty far out of the way for anything.
