Another technical question
Ok, like many of you I've got loads of theater stuff recorded on video tape that I'd love to transfer onto a digital format. I'm looking for recommendations as to what is the best way to do this.
I know there are recordable VCR/DVD players that burn directly from tape to disc. But the results I've seen have been sketchy at best in terms of picture quality.
Then there is the software option. A program by which you can hook up a VCR to your computer and translate the video tape footage onto a digital file.
What programs or equipment would you recommend?
