We'll looks like I need to catch you up on the end of summer activities.
Last day of time lapse videos went ok. Video was messed up but it was fixed later. On the last day the crew was going in to test the banners and I was going to time lapse it also but it didnt happen. All the previous days I work up around 9-10am even with staying up till 3 am the previous night doing the time lapse, so I figured I would have no problem getting up for the 11 am call. Well I woke up at 11 and decided by the time I got out there it wouldnt be worth it. After taking a show I figure I would go out there and atleast show the crew the videos, but as i drive out there I see the people mover going the other direction. So that didnt happen either. I ended up going to ISU and showing them to Chad and Nick. I have worked on the DVD altille bit. All the videos have music but I want to put together a slide show since I also have some cool photos but that just hasnt happened yet. I have time next week, so hopefully Ill finish it. And then start sending out DVD's to people that want them.
After doing the time lapse I went home for a little and then it was back down to Bloomington IN for Woman In Black. The building went preaty fast. Even though I wasnt contracted to paint that first week I did do some. Over last weekend I went home to visit with family that come in from New York. It was nice to see them. I then went back to Bloomington IN. Wholey hell I've been doing alot of driving this summer. I really dont want to see how much gas or how many miles i have driven. So back on Woman In Black, I started working on the scrim. I got really frustrated over all the painting just cause I wasnt getting the colors to look like I wanted. But Tim and Fred both help and it all truned out well. Fred help with the final steps on the scrim which was good cause i didnt have the guts to do it untill he started. Overall I'm really happy with it now. Both the scrim and the floor.
There has been alot of things going on this summer back in Bloomington IN that im learning about. Should make for an interesting yet. I think the coolest thing involves a director.(you can ask me about the others, im not going to post them) One of the show second semester was listed as guest director. At the same time I was looking at the production list, i get the ISF final contact sheet and notice that the director of Pericles lives in Bloominton IN (I later find out that he is married to a faculty member at IU). During this past week I get the updated production list and I notice that the guess director is the director of Pericles. He'll be directing 12th Night, which is the show I'm doing props for. It should interesting since we'll have something in comon to talk about, maybe. (I never really knew him this summer.) So , thats one of the interesting things i have learned.
Other then that. I finally got my aprtment office semi clean. I realize that I have too much stuff and need to throw some of it out. But I dont have the guts to do that. Next week I plan on going in to check on my show (i shouldnt have to do anything). I also plan on cleaning more of my apartment. I finaly made a frame for one of my scene painting class paintings. But its so heavy I cant really hang it. And I didnt add the lights behind it either. (its a stain glass painting, really cool with lights behind). Then on friday I have orientation and then classes start that following monday. I cant wait. I have some really cool classes.
I leave you with a random thought. There are some people out there that I wish I could get to know better and some that I don't. There are some people out there that I wish I could read thier minds and some that I don't.
oh P.S. The moehawk is going to disapear sometime soon. I was thinking after orientation but before school started. For now the hair is going short. Any suggestions on what to do next? (PPS facebook has a new older photo of something I did with my hair MANY years ago. I was looking for this photo awhile ago and found it while cleaning. I might do something similar to it again. maybe?)
