(no subject)
Well Livejournal is kinda losing its feel for me. So that only means some small updates here and there.
Today was cool. I saw a 2-3 million dollar book. Yes i said MILLION. And guess what. If I wanted to I could read the book and touch it. The book? You want to know? A first edition of William Shakespeares Folio. Yes right after he died when all his plays where combined into one book (called a folio). The IU library has one. They also have alot of other cool stuff and first editions of stuff.I almost want to write a paper on some old desiger and see if they have some of his original designs. Anyway, the library has some cool stuff. (PS they also have a comic book collection on display with many first editions. and the library has alot of Michael Uslan (some comic guy) who is a graduate of IU)
The downside of today was that somehow out building got natural gased. It was kinda bad. Right at the start of work we smelled it. The building has no natural gas lines by the way. We continued working cause it wasnt too bad. It got worse in the directing studio upstairs. A few minuets later the fire alarm goes off. Someone in the Black Cultural part of the building pulled it cause of the gas. Fire department comes. We're outside for maybe 20 min max and then head back in. The only guess that they have is that a natural gas vechical was park outside by the dock and the vent intake for the building is on the dock right above the shop (which is next to the dock). After a few min it disapated and all was well.
Shop has been going better. Moving along slowly but we're teaching. Something I still need to work on, but am doing ok i guess. I feel like im kinda fitting in around here, well see how it goes after this weekends party.
Im also thinking about going to London this summer. Not sure yet. Some of it would be covered under the grad school assistantship. Wouldnt have much time for a job. Could almost do short crew at ISF but not quite. Ill have to see how some of my friends (atleast who I consider friends :-P) like it over there.
