Update
Well! It's been a while. I have been putting away wedding for the past week! I also got to cat-sit while the newlyweds were honeymooning. I miss kitties. I picked up proofs last night, and some shots are good, some are not so good. Why is it some people who have absolutely gorgeous smiles don't show it for the camera?!
Anyway,I have purchased fireworks for the traditional family 4th, which involves blowing things up, and eating lots of home made stuff. And yes, there will be Momma's special icecream. The 'family' to attend has diminished considerably over the last few years though. We used to have my Mom's entire family- 6 siblings and lots of offspring! Now,it's me and the newlyweds,3 dogs and 2 cats.

On the daughter duty side of things, I spoke with my Dad's Hospice Care Nurse yesterday. We are going to put him into the Hospice Home this month. Just typing those words makes me nauseous. Parkinson's is devouring him, basically. He can't hold himself upright in his wheelchair anymore. He has been on oxygen at night, but they aren't doing that anymore. He has been all my life, the constant I could look to and depend on. He has always been so generous with his time and always positive and supportive. He has shaped the positive parts of the person I am more than any other one person in my life. His personality has changed as well as his physical ability. He's not the same man that was my father. Have I mentioned how much being an only child sucks?!
