Hey gang - as the title says, need movie or TV series suggestions for my mom.

Only criteria are these:

1.  Within the last 3 years movie wise

How about "Begin Again" with Mark Ruffalo and Kiera Knightly? One of the loveliest movies I've seen in a very long time. No graphic sex or really bad language.

I don't know if "Philomena", with Judi Dench and Steve Coogan is a good choice - it's about the evils of the Catholic Church in Ireland.

"The Best Marigold Hotel" and "The Second Best Marigold Hotel" are lovely movies.

"Mr. Holmes" with Ian McKellen - I haven't seen it yet but it got fantastic reviews and just came out on DVD and Blu-Ray.

Animated movies?

Miyazaki's films are stunning. The two I would recommend off the bat are The Wind Rises which is actually a biography of a Japanese aeronautical engineer just before and into WWII and Spirited Away which is a fantasy about a young girl who goes on an amazing journey. They are both visually stunning films.

Inside Out?
Last year my favorite movies were Whiplash and The Theory of Everything.

Agree about "The Best Marigold Hotel" and "The Second Best Marigold Hotel"

"Mister Holmes" was great. My hubby liked it too.
