This weekend was very eventful and lots of fun, but I'm exhausted. Beyond exhausted and this week is going to be kind either.
Friday afternoon Ashley went to Sam's with me to get tailgating food and supplies for our last tailgate. I'm so glad I'll never have to be in charge of that ever again (hear that Delta ladies, don't think about slating me as VPPR again...). That night was Delta Underground and Hillary and I were the MCs. That was way fun, but soooo long. I made an idiot of myself, we raised a lot of money for St. Jude's and there were some pretty talented acts. After that a couple of us decided it was time to finally take those jello shots ashley made 2 weeks ago, but we were all so exhausted that it was no fun. We were pitiful. I took a shot and 20 minutes later I went to bed.
Saturday morning I got up early to get more tailgating stuff and then quickly tried to make myself look like a real girl and then went to the Homecoming "brunch" with my parents. Yay for them coming in town! Student Life and SBA exec clearly do not know what brunch is. Quiche, shrimp toast and cake (although all good) do not fill one up and are certainly not brunch. Knowing I bought a shit load of food for tailgating I was not upset. So small talk and load of pictures took place for an hour and then my parents and I headed to the Tri Delta house for alumni open house. More munchies, talk and pictures. Then tailgating. Then walking on the field with Daddio. Then more tailgating. Then HOLY SHIT WE WON AND ARE NOW THE SCAC CHAMPS. Then everyone STORMED THE FIELD AND TOOK DOWN THE GOAL POST AND FENCE. In all my time here at Millsaps that is the first time I have ever seen any form of school spirit. It was pretty much amazing.
Today we had yet another chamber singers concert (last one of the semester...YAY!) and I had play practice. Yup, that's right, play practice. The lead girl in the show that opens FRIDAY is in the hospital and I was asked to fill in. Holy crap. Please, PLEASE pray (think good thoughts, whatever you do) lots and lots and lots that this girl gets better and can do the show.
