"You've come so far, so fast that you're starting to doubt if you have what it takes to see it through 'til the end. Feeling out of your depth is normal, but rest assured you wouldn't have been given this opportunity if you weren't ready."
YUP! It's true! I recently have been doubting my abilities as an actress. At auditions, I was so discouraged the first night. I felt like I didn't get to show them what I got. I was angry and feeling so disillusioned. I thought, this is it. I am not getting a role for the first time ever... I cried awhile and then I got an email from my best friend in the whole world. Her words were soo comforting that I began to feel a little better. I decided that the only thing I could do now was go to auditions and have faith that I could prove myself to Richard.
I walked in to the theatre not even caring whether I got cast or not. It had gotten to the point where I was starting to look at the perks of not being cast... AKA FREE TIME! What was free time? In high school it was non-existant. I read for the parts he wanted me to and then I figured that it was all out of my hands. I slept good that night.
The next day, he posted the cast list.
I searched for my name frantically, top to bottom, right to left.
It was there.
