Yeah, so i went on a roadtrip thing.

Left saturday and drove about 4 hours to conecticut, stayed over night there in a little city called stamford. not a bad place at all.. kinda like providence. friggin cold tho.

wake up 9.00 am, drive to NYC. The big apple was pretty rockin. Went to central park and saw the christo gates. and they were pretty cool. yes. we decided to drive through new jersey from there.. because there is no other way to get to the other side.. Anyways, we went to my moms hometown of linden. that was interesting. you know how joh mellancamp sings about livign in a small town.. hes talking about linden new jersey. its not bad.. its jsut small.. even the houses. but i could see the tears of nostalgia welling up in my mothers eyes. no wonder she moved to massachusettes.

GOt some whitecastle burgers, disgustingly good. Then drove a while until we reached philidelphia. it was awesome. the liberty bell was pretty cool, the security there is outrageous. and after about an hour of driving through ghettos in south phili, we somehow found genos. note to the ignorant.. genos is the famous phili cheese steak restaurant. they were delicious. i had two.. yummy. then we went to the most exciting place in the country. DELAWARE! you know when a cartoon character walks off of the picture on to the white screen, just this like 'white abyss', yeah, thats delaware. absolutely nothing for the whole stretch of road. barren wastelands. okay enough about delaware.

okay yes.. it is still sunday at this point.. lots of driving.. we saw baltimore briefly, then i just watched dvds and stuff until we reached our destination, Washington D.C. yes thats right.. ian cardoni went to good ol' patriotic D.C. it was fun. i really loved it. i mean theres alot of looking around.. which doesnt exactly bother me. i saw the capitol, washington monument, white house, a few museums, and my personal favorites the lincoln memorial and the vietnam memorial. both of which, ill be honest, moved me to tears. dont laugh.. you go and see the best president who ever lived, and the wall with the names of 58,000 soldiers that died in vain. it amazes me how you can have all of these memorials and still support a war in iraq. i also saw the graves at arlington cemetary.. all of the dead form this war. when you see a funeral of a soldier being buried.. that lonely casket about to be buried with his or her brothers.. is that what they mean when they say an army of one? it was moving.. i guess.. abner doubleday is buried there.. the inventor of baseball is buried there.. he fought in the civil war, thats why. that was pretty cool. to lighten the mood we went to see the changing of the guard. pretty impressive.. the army man walking back and forth, then this marine comes out and yells at the crowd to shut up and show respect. and he sounds just like you would expect an army sergeant from the south to sound. it was pretty cool none the less. i think if i ever have to dodge the draft i will just join up to guard the tomb of the unknown soldier. less chance of being killed. and if you are, the convenience of being in a cemetary is a plus i suppose. this is a big paragraph.. wow. we also went to the zoo before leaving. saw the pandas, really anticlimactic. and we saw these baby cheetahs.. they are supposedly really amazing.. they were pretty cool lookin. those things can run real fast. after seeing most of the things in the city we started to drive home.

stayed overnight in wonderful delaware.. it was creepy. before that we had dinner in baltimore. ive determined 2 things, the flag at fort mchenry looks nothing like the real one in D.C. and also that south baltimore, the bronx, south phili, and good ol' dorchester are very much the same thing. Creepy. but.. baltimore.. the city part is really nice. good atmosphere, right at a harbor, theres cool restaurants and cool places to go.. id go back there sometime if i got the chance. and we drove home the next day.. got back around 5 pm.. not bad at all.. so i decided to go out with some friends.

It was the best night I've had in a long time...

peace.
