Where in the world does one begin to capture the essence of a moment? Or, for that matter, a night or purely the turns that life decides to take? For the few of you who only know me via LiveJournal, I am sorry that I have not clued you in on my life as of late. It just seems that even more life goes on at a faster rate when you would be documenting previous moments...I have chosen to screw letting anyone in on what's new...but I feel bad, because my life is really quite bonkers...and the world should know.
Spontaneity.
..Not something I am entirely accustomed to exercising to the extent that I have tonight. Colin, JD and I were hanging at our place in Albany and just chilling when I just turn to JD and ask, "Hey, wanna just stay over here tonight?" You see...our place is...well, less than furnished...but it's ours..and we decided it would be fun to break it in. Spontaneous decision number one. We take Colin home, tell the Parentals where we are going...and we grab sleeping stuff. We go back to Albany and chill some more and decide to head to bed. We go upstairs, make our little beds...and decided, as JD put it, there was no way we were going to sleep. Well...it's 1:45 in the morning...what does one DO at 1:45 in the morning? How about grab a soda at 7-11? Spontaneous decision number 2. Unfortunately, our nearest 7-11 was invaded by creepy bike people, so we drive to find another one. After procuring our tasty drinks...we proclaim our right to not HAVE to go home. Where in the world does one go at 2 in the morning though?
"Hey JD...how about Salem?"
*laughs* "Okay"
"Wow, okay...let's do it!"
Spontaneous decision number 3.
We took a random exit, cruised through Salem, and yet our thirst for adventure was not quite satisfied. I think we were expecting a party on the street or something...but alas, there was none. So we keep driving and go to West Salem. Creepy! JD asks if I want to see where he broke down on his way to McMinville. Of course I oblige. Spontaneous decision number 4. We drove all the way to Amity. Nothing left to see here, folks...not that we were seeing much anyway...especially with the fog.
The fog was extraordinarily thick. We drove slowly. With immense amounts of caffeine pulsing through our systems, we started becoming a little jumpy.
"What the hell is that light up there??"
"It's really bright...I'm scared!"
*light switches to dim, car comes over hill*
We drove back a random way with more back roads and it plopped us right where we needed to be. We are now home...each of us on a computer...I'm not even sure what JD is doing right now and he's three feet from me. I feel pathetic. Maybe I'll ask. He's talking to Karen. She has class at 8.
Life is so much fun.
