I went to see The Producers tonight. I had 2nd row left seat. Very very close. Almost too close, not that I'm complaining. I could see everyone's face and into the wings and catwalks in the wings. I could watch the scenes fly.
The show was hilarious!! I enjoyed it very much. Alan Ruck ("Cameron" - Ferris Buellers Day Off) played Leo Bloom. What a treat to see him up close. (Ferris was required watching when I was a teenager) He was pretty good. Of course, I would have prefered to see it with Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick or even with Steven Webber (I dig him) as Leo Bloom but this was just great! I especially loved the song they sang at the end of curtain calls and "Springtime for Hitler" I don't know what else to say about it except that it was great. I recommend it only to those who are not offended easily. I picked up the CD while I was there at the show.

I wish my friends were into theater like me. It's one of the few things I'm really really enthusiastic about. It's also the thing that people don't know, or don't remember ( or don't want to remember or take very little , if any, interest in) about me.
You can't meet a man at the theater unless he's gay, married or is there with his girlfriend.
I want a theater buddy, someone I don't have to beg to come with me and who can pay for their own ticket and not bitch about it.
Is this too much to ask?
