Happy 4th!
Last night sucked. I got the girls ready and we went to the shop to see what Kevin's plans were. They were slammed, which I didnt expect, so he had to stay there. Tommy's wife Jen came up and went with us to go see fireworks. So, they were supposed to start "after the symphony which starts at 8:30" so I figure okay.... 9:30 at the latest. We were still sitting there with 4 gripey, whiny little girls that were up waaaaay past their bedtime at 10:30. It starts to sprinkle so I got the girls in the van. We waited then it starts to POUR! The wind was whipping the trees around and we saw lightening strike across the river and hit the ground, sending sparks flying. Then the radio confirms what we already figured... fireworks cancelled. I dont know when theyre going to do them but I dont think I'll be battling that crowd again. Total nightmare trying to get out of there!
Maybe we'll just cook out some hot dogs & play on the slip-n-slide.

Guess I wont complain about how long it took to get out of there. At least we didnt leave in an ambulance!
