lj has been so out of my life lately that when i clicked to log on, i entered the wrong password. (because remember how lj won't let you have passwords that are SANE? it kept telling me i couldn't use dictionary words, and i literally looked up like my first five tries which, SHOCKINGLY, were not listed in the o.e.d... bygones)

for the first time i got in trouble for something i'd written in a blog.
it's a rite of passage, no?

my boyfriend's sister calls his mother to tell her that i'd written something degrading about him online. now, my first response is: if she really cared, shouldn't she have called him directly instead of tattling?

so the mother asked him about it, and he goes on a rampage trying to log on to myspace (he has an account that i made for him because i was ashamed that my own boyfriend wasn't in my top friends list... he'd never used it). he finds nothing incriminating, so he turns to me. asks to see my livejournal. i IMMEDIATELY freak out, because how the h-e-double-hockey-sticks could i remember what i'd written in the past year and a half that we've been on-again-off-again?? plus i remember writing a LOT about my current "celebrity" crushes (*cough*aceyoung*cough*).

i finally remember that i have nothing to hide because
1)my entries are dated and the weird things i might have written would have been during weird times,
2)anything i write is obviously in the heat of a rant, and
3)i probably didn't write anything weird.
so he scrolls, not really reading, and finds some stuff where i was pondering monogamy. he figures that must be it, because he'd never told his family that we weren't at one point. then i minorly wig out, because in order to find that stuff (not that it's restricted), his sister would REALLY have had to stalk me. this lj is not, you know, on my business card, it would have taken some not difficult but dedicated stalkery. he agrees.

the next day, he confronts his sister, telling her she's a lame-o for not coming to him directly and abusing the brother/sister/olderthan15/peer bond by going over his head to mom, and asking her specifically to email him the link to the entry she was concerned about.

turns out it WAS from myspace (which is less stalkery). i only have a few blogs on myspace, and i couldn't even remember one about him. but AHA! in a rant about the greg behrendt show, i was detailed the saga of how i almost went on the show to breakup with him on national television via phone call for $250 and had him all excited and coming up with fake nasty things to say to me.

moral of the story? his sister is a moron this week. and i've been asked, as a precaution, to make all future posts 'friend only'. but let's be honest, i'll forget.

AND I HAVE NOTHING I'D WRITE ON LJ TO HIDE.
