New Year Resolutions

Jan 06, 2011 22:05

The first thing people do on new year's eve, drink fizzy wine..no, greet friends and family....no, party....no, get on facebook and tell everyone their new year's resolution..YES! On new year's eve the first thing teens think about doing is posting what their going to do this year. It's pretty funny to see some of the ones that teens pick but these seem the most popular this year.

WORKING OUT
ok it should be losing weight but working out is the nicest way to say it unless your one of those girls who just post I'm fat as the first thing of the new year. People are just obsessed with looking good and so the first thing they always seem to think of is that they need to lose weight and work out more. Guys are aiming for that six pack by summer, both single and take. This is the most popular and also the most failed, it's that one where you start strong and within one or two weeks you just can't take it anymore. Th crunches and push ups get to you and your just done. Most people start and then pick it up in the middle of summer or try right before christmas as a ast attempt. It's just kinda pointless to pick this one because unless you're very determined then you'll never win. this is the unwinnable battle.

FALLING IN LOVE
This one is the second one you see the most. Almost all single people will watch the ball dropping just so they can watch the couples proposing (why do they even show that? it makes people feel bad and idk who they are?). It's just you can't help but think that maybe this will be the year, 2010 was huge because it ended a decade of a millnium. For some it happens and for some it doesn't happen. You have a whole year to find someone, how hard can that be? the answer is almost impossible because people take one of two roads. they only date because they want to say i have a bf/gf or because they think they need to impress. It's just this resolution is so hard because it's not something you can accomplish by yourself and so a large part don't accomplish it.

LESS COMPUTER, LESS VIDEO GAMES, MORE TIME
For all the gamers out there you have tried this i'm almost sure! You're parents are constently on about how you spend too much time living in your own world and it ends just trying to lay off the games and tv. It never works, ONCE A GAMER ALWAYS A GAMER. This has to be the worst you cna make, I mean books are great but they can only take you so far. Schools by forcing teens to read have sort of turned them off reading, it's like I read boring things at school then go home and read more! Just although quitting should give you more tme, while doing homework and other things you think I need a break and what do you do? FACEBOOK, TEENCHAT, GAMES and then all timegets washed away, its just addicting. Facebook is the best because everyone has one and it's always funny to see the facebook addict try to go a day, a year without posting too much.

HOMEWORK
This has to be the funniest, I WILL DO ALL MY HOMEWORK! It could happen but two things always interfear. The first being summer vaction, you just want school to be over so you can sleep in and have nights where when you stay up til 1 am it's because you were party not writing that english paper. This one seems to last longer than the other ones and only fails by May. otherwise it's the one with the best chance. But you also must remember that when you say the year, it'll count for next school year as well.

To all of you going for that new years resolution good luck!
