WTF

Just would like to point out that in Boston right now, with wind chill, It is -10 degrees F. In my hometown of Pleasanton, it is 66 degrees F. That is almost a diff of 80 degrees. What the fucking hell. I stepped out of my dorm this morning, and literally wanted to die. The freezer in my room is warmer than it is outside. That's a problem.

note to folks in Cali: appreciate your nice weather. dont bitch when it rains or dips into the 40s. That is WARM bitches!

On another note, I recieved the only A in my history of Musical Theatre class for my "Most Over-Rated Musical" Paper, which I did on "Jersey Boys." I then went on and wrote an even better paper for my "most under-rated Musical" paper, which I did on "The Apple Tree." I was so happy about this paper. I got it back and it said "I hate The Apple Tree...B+" How could anybody hate that show...it's beyond me.

Happy note: I'm seeing the tour of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels tonight in Boston. This makes me very happy, as I have loved this show for so long and miss it very much. I hope it isnt scaled back to the point of being bad. I havn't heard the new opening number, but it kinda scares me.

Happy note: Lea Solanga makes the Les Miserables revival work. On another note, if you go to Les Mis, pray for Valjean's understudy. He's wonderful.

Happy note: Curtains is the Best Musical to open so far this season. Infact, it's the best new musical to open in the last 5 years. If it doesn't win this years Tony...there will be hell to pay. It should win for it's score as well. I'd be surprised if it didn't (Ebb being dead kinda helps it's chances I feel.) Edward Hibbert should win Best Supporting Actor. The only male supporting performance this year that gets anywhere near being Tony worthy. Jill Paice is fucking hysterical in it too. So thats: Best Musical, Best Score, Best Supporting Actor, and lets add Best Book, Best Choreography, Best Sets and Best Orchestrations. Those are my Curtains Tony picks. Take that Spring Awakening.(yuck)

Speaking of Spring Awakening...what's with the hype? These days I feel that every high school kid FLOCKS to musicals invovling kids their age in sexual situations. They love it becuase it's edgy. Which it is..but it's not a good musical. And none of the performances are tolerable.

Ok, enough with the ranting and random thoughts. Have a nice warm day!
